General Electrical

This field of study you will learn how to work with electrical systems that power everything. Also how to install, connect, test, and maintain the systems for home, business and industry use. They study the location of circuits, panel boards, and other electrical necessities. How to use insulated wires or cables, as well as plastic-covered wire, and connect this wire to circuit breakers, transformers, and other equipment. Also learn how to test the circuits to ensure they have made sound connections after they finished the wiring.

  • Please Note:

  • Training is conducted over four years, 1st – 3rd year is six months in the Institute and six months in Industry (job attachment position).

  • 4th Year - 10 months in industry and two months in the Institute for trade test preparation.
