Mechatronics

This field of study equips trainees with the skills needed to work within a multidisciplinary engineering/technology field that deals with the study of electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, tele-communications, computer engineering, system engineering and control engineering.  

It also emphasises the design of electro-mechanical devices ranging from large-scale automated manufacturing systems to micro-scale sensors and instrumentation.

Please Note:

  • Training is conducted over four years, 1st – 3rd year is six months in the Institute and six months in Industry (job attachment position).

  • 4th Year - 10 months in industry and two months in the Institute for trade test preparation.

  • Robotics engineer/technician.

  • Automation engineer.

  • Electronics design engineer.

  • Mechanical design engineer.

  • Software engineer.
